Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker doesn’t seemed overly impressed that former Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater kicked a record-breaking 64 yard field goal back in 2013 Denver.
To him, it was more about the location and ideal temperatures. Oh, the that high altitude seems to help as well.
“We think about these things really specifically,”Tucker said on the NFL Network’s ‘Good Morning Football’ show.
“If conditions are prime, like last season we opened up in Denver, the weather was warm, the field was nice, and you’re up at altitude so the ball just carries. In pregame I think I hit the crossbar from 85, so if the situation is just prime, then maybe 84 and a half yards.”
