After the NFL nixed the preseason Hall of Fame Game due to field conditions, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy followed suit by making an adjustment (or the lack thereof) of his own.
Just because there was no game doesn’t mean the team will hit the practice field on Monday – It will remain a customary day off. In addition, McCarthy is likely relieved as he was reportedly not too happy about playing five preseason games in the first place.
They’ll hit practice on Tuesday evening after to start preparation for their preseason home opener against Cleveland.
“Really just with the unusual flow to training camp, we still have installation practice No. 8 that we’ll hit Tuesday night, and then we’ll shift gears into Cleveland,'” McCarthy said Sunday, per ESPN. “Once we get past Cleveland, we’ll be more into an in-season schedule. It will be a minor adjustment, but we’ll just go with it.”
