Chargers’ Danny Woodhead done for the season with torn ACL

It didn’t look good when he went down, and we’re now getting confirmation that San Diego Chargers RB Danny Woodhead will miss the rest of the 2016 season after suffering a torn ACL on Sunday against Jacksonville.

The news is especially compounded after losing wide receiver Keenan Allen to the same injury just last week.

2nd-year back Melvin Goodwin (159 yards, 3 TDs over the first two games) is slated to get the bulk of carries without Woodhead, but it’s nevertheless a big blow to the Chargers offense.

Undrafted free agent Kenneth Farrow and former Giants RB Andre Williams are next on the depth chart.
