Garoppolo injury not as bad as initially reported

Soon after the team’s victory over Miami, news spread like wildfire that Jimmy Garoppolo’s shoulder injury would keep him sidelined for about 6 weeks, but all Pats fans were really concerned with is the next two weeks because as we all know, Tom Brady will take the field in Week 5 vs. Cleveland.

As the evening came, things got much clearer with an upgrade to Garoppolo’s condition – a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder that has him designated as day to day, reported the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

While he’ll likely miss the Thursday night matchup with Houston, the hope is he’ll ready for Week 4 against Buffalo.

3rd string rookie QB Jacoby Brissett acquitted himself enough to take home the win, and he should, by all logic, be more prepared for game action on Thursday.
