Patriots defensive coaching staff getting things done in wake of Tom Brady’s absence

The New England Patriots and the rest of the world knew the absence of Tom Brady would affect the team, but after three games, the top performers have been on the sidelines.

The game plans for the first three games have lefy many marvelling at how a team can lose so much in personnel, but continue to play at the highest level, especially the defense.

“Let me tell you, man, Bill’s game plan each week is the best game plan,” safety Duron Harmon said, via USA Today.

“He just — he continues to amaze you with the things that come up in his mind to attack the offense’s weakness.”

“Our coaches aren’t like ‘Hey, you’re great, just take it easy,’ ” cornerback Logan Ryan said.

“We’re practicing hard. We’re in pads. We’re doing all the work that it takes. When you’re doing all that work, the games should be fun. Right now, that’s the case for us. When you see an outcome like this, you believe.”
