Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin says he’s received some death threats due to solidarity with 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and others in their protests during the national anthem at games.
Baldwin told 60 Minutes Sports (per PFT) “a couple of people told me to watch my back.”
“How do you respond to that?” the show’s Jon Wertheim asked.
“The same way Colin [Kaepernick] did,” Baldwin said. “You know, there’s issues going on in our society that people feel compelled to talk about and I’m not going to be quiet about. And if something was to happen to me, I think that would just further prove my point that there are issues in our culture, in our society that need to be changed.”
