As Vikings fall back to earth, team not panicking over rough stretch of games

At the start of the season, the Minnesota Vikings had that look of a Super Bowl contender; however, in the past few weeks, that look has changed considerably.

A 5-0 start has given way to turmoil as former offensive coordinator Norv Turner stepped down after the unit wasn’t getting the job done.

As the club looks to turn around their fortune, they aren’t ready to concede they are in twisting in the wind.

“Jeez, it’s been a rough last couple weeks,” guard Brandon Fusco said, via USA TODAY Sports.

“But we’ve got a good team. We know we do. We’ve just got to keep fighting.”

“There’s no guarantees,” coach Mike Zimmer said.

“But I’d rather go into a fight with these guys the way they were today than the last couple of weeks”

“I think everyone is going to overreact, just like usual,” linebacker Anthony Barr said.

“It’s another loss, three in a row. Obviously, we’re struggling and need to find a way out. We’re not devastated. We’re not panicking.”
