Initial reports told us that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski suffered a punctured lung in Sunday’s loss to Seattle.
But the latest news from ESPN’s Adam Schefter tells that his lung remains intact and whatever injury it is, it’s “not overly serious.”
The injury likely occurred when he was drilled by safety Earl Thomas – a hit Gronk says one one of the hardest he’s taken:
“Just down for about a minute or two. It’s a little tough to breathe, but once it comes back, you’re good,” he said after the game. “He hit me fair and square. It’s football. You’re going to get laid out eventually.”
