The New England Patriots have a shortage of pass catchers and they may have hit a stoke of luck with the current release of former Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd.
According to UPI.com, the Patriots have signed the five-year veteran after a DUI arrest led to his exit in Arizona.
‘The New England Patriots claimed receiver Michael Floyd off waivers Thursday, three days after he was arrested for a DUI in Scottsdale, Ariz. The arrest caused the Arizona Cardinals to release Floyd on Wednesday. The 27-year-old was found unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle at an intersection.The Patriots need a receiver with Danny Amendola (ankle) ailing and decided to take a chance on Floyd.’
