Citing age, family, and more importantly – health , Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger may be mulling retirement if we’re to take what he said Tuesday on 93.7 The Fan seriously.
After a disappointing loss to New England in the AFC Championship game, Big Ben says he’s not sure how long he’ll continue to play, and notably stopped short of saying he’ll be back next season.
“I’m going to take this offseason to evaluate, to consider all options,” he said.
“To consider health, and family and things like that and just kind of take some time away to evaluate next season, if there’s going to be a next season. All those things. I think at this point in my career, at my age, that’s the prudent and smart thing to do every year.”
“Head injuries are always a big thing,” he added.
