Many supposed Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, who you could say had a a lot on his plate Sunday, might have been a little distracted as he gears up to become the next 49ers head coach while trying to get his current employer to the Super Bowl.
But Shanahan didn’t neglect his duties in his coordinator capacity, calling a great game and rout of the Packers on the Falcons’ way to a big date with the Patriots.
Head coach Dan Quinn, who was in the same boat with the Seahawks before bolting to Atlanta, is heaping praise on Shanahan for staying so focused.
“I’m really proud of him,” Quinn said, via CSN Bay Area, per NFL.com. “It’s not easy to do when there’s a lot of speculation and things going on outside your world to stay dialed in. I think it’s one that should be commended. Being on point and going for it, he totally nailed that.”
