Vikings, Matt Kalil trying to figure out if Minnesota is still home

The Minnesota Vikings would like to see Matt Kalil back at left tackle, but they are trying to figure out his value as he enters free agency, while he ponders his next move.

“He’s 100 percent healthy now,’’ Matt’s father Frank Kalil said, via TwinCities.com.
He looks great. He’s ready to rock and roll. He’s back up to his game weight. He’s lifting weights. He’s doing all the right things.’’

“He was having the best, before he got injured, the best offseason and probably the best training camp he was having before his hip started bothering him,’’ general manager Rick Spielman said.

“There’s no question about the ability part being there, it’s just can he become more consistent? We watched every game in 2015 on him and went back and reassessed those games. There’s specific games in there where you say this guy is the real deal and then there are a couple games in there that say he needs to play better.’’
