2016 wasn’t so kind to the 28-year-old Vereen. After two respectable seasons with New York, he landed on injured reserve with a triceps injury, only to return late in the season and re-tear the muscle in Week 15.
The pass-catching RB had 59 catches in the previous two years, proving his usefulness to QB Eli Manning on third downs especially.
A healthy Vereen is what the Giants are counting on in 2017.
