San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch says free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick was really close to signing a deal with a new team, but it didn’t happen for one reason or another.
“I don’t know what happened to that market,” Lynch told KNBR.per USA Today.
“He was, in everyone’s mind in this league, very close to signing a deal with a team at a really good number. And it fell through, apparently.”
Lynch added that there is a very slight chance we see Colin staying right where he is in 2017; unlikely after the team signed two QBs in free agency.
