Now we know why the Philadelphia Eagles were so quite during the offseason regarding the future of defensive tackle Bennie Logan, essentially letting him walk and sign on with the Chiefs last week.
The NFL Network’s Charles Robinson reports that the Eagles offered Logan a lucrative contract extension during the 2016 season – and he turned it down, opting to try his luck in the free agent market.
He didn’t fare as well as he thought. According to the report, Philly offered him a contract in the range of $9+ million. He settled on an $8 million deal with the Chiefs.
Interesting. Was told DT Bennie Logan had a very sizable extension offer on table from #Eagles during the season and turned it down. Whoops.
