Aaron Rodgers: Packers offense set, but ‘we probably need a couple more pieces on defense’

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is feeling pretty good about the current state of the current offensive roster, but thinks a few additions on defense will get them over the top.

“We probably need a couple more pieces on defense before the season starts, but we’re going to be really tough to stop on offense,” Rodgers told The Sidelines with Evan Daniels Podcast , via Packersnews.com¬†and NFl.com.

“(Coach) Mike (McCarthy) has a great system that’s ever evolving and changing, and I put my stamp on it once we get it down on paper.”

A big splash by GM Ted Thompson is free agency is in gone, but the team could find a few serviceable players on the cheap that could pan out. We’ll see what happens in the NFL Draft as well.

“It’s exciting, man. Green Bay Packers fans should be excited.”
