Elway and Jones met, but no discussion about Tony Romo?

NFL team owners began schmoozing with each other last week before the annual meetings were to begin on Sunday, and two that have crossed paths are the Bronco’s John Elway and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, amid talk of a somewhat ideal trade that would ship quarterback Tony Romo to Denver.

But apparently the name hasn’t come up is discussion, according to Elway. Kinda hard to believe, but eh…

“We’ve been here all week and [Tony Romo’s] name never came up,’’ Elway said Sunday, via Mike Klis of 9news.com.

Romo was on his way to being released earlier this month, but Jones changed his mind. Denver was poised to make a run at Romo after he was cut, but now do not look like they’re interested in trading for him. Stay tuned…
