Green Bay Packers general manger Ted Thompson thinks newly acquired tight end Martellus Bennett, along with his lively personality and locker room presence, will do the team some good.
Fresh off of a Super Bowl victory in New England, the veteran tight end signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the team in free agency.
“He’s a bit of a renaissance man, and I think that’ll be a good thing, a fun thing,” Thompson said at the NFL annual meetings, per ESPN. “Maybe he’ll educate myself and some of the players.”
“We like what he brings to the equation. He seems to be excited about being there, so we’re happy to have him.”
