Many teams are shying away from much-maligned, but talented Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon, but at least a handful of teams are kicking the tires on him ahead of this month’s NFL Draft.
The NFL’s Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that that Green Bay Packers last week. So far, Mixon has had interest from the Raiders, Bengals, Broncos, Saints, and Chargers – who all have had to do their own due diligence because he wasn’t permitted to take part in the league’s scouting combine.
One of the areas general manager Ted Thompson might focus on in the draft if beefing up the RB position – Christine Michael and Ty Montgomery are currently slated to carry load into 2017.
Aforementioned team that brought in Joe Mixon this week was the Packers. Like others, getting info/medical they didn’t get at Combine.
