The NFL Players Association and the New England Patriots previously agreed to put all legal disputes on hold until any and all criminal proceedings and decisions have ended for former tight end Aaron Hernandez.
With Hernandez taking his own life early Wednesday morning, that time has come.
Per PFT, here’s what needs to be ironed out:
“(1) Hernandez’s demand for the remaining $3.25 million from his 2012 signing bonus;
(2) the grievance filed by the NFL and Patriots seeking repayment of all money given to Hernandez until the 2012 contract; and
(3) a grievance filed by Hernandez and the NFLPA for his guaranteed salary in 2013 and 2014 and a 2014 guaranteed workout bonus. (The third grievance was dismissed without prejudice but can be re-filed.)”
