Rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has currently has two things in common with Steelers great Troy Polamalu – The USC Trojans and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Which makes perfect sense that Polamalu would contact him with some support and advice.
“Troy Polamalu. That one kinda surprised me,” he said, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. “He played for USC, played in Pittsburgh and did really great for himself. [Polamalu told him] ‘Anything you need, I’m right here in Pittsburgh, let me know.'” He’s always here to help.”
“I’m coming in to compete, Smith-Schuster also told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “We’re all competing. It will just make us better. Whoever wins the starting spot, it’s going to be best for the team, whether it’s Martavis (Bryant) or it’s (Sammie) Coates or it’s me.
