While a deal is works for Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman, talk of it being struck just before the start of training camp looks to gaining some steam.
“That’s just a few days away,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said Monday, via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I’ve always said that I think that it’s going to be a fairly expeditious negotiation, but you never know. I mean, that’s a tough thing to say.”
“I would love it to happen, but if it doesn’t, we’re not throwing up the caution flag at all. I think we’ll just work through it and continue to negotiate with [his agent].”
