After a full one-season hiatus due to violations of the league’s substance abuse policy, Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Martavis Bryant is set to hit the long road of returning to form in 2017.
The NFL informed 25-year-old that he is officially cleared to play in preseason action.
“He will continue to be evaluated as to his readiness to participate in regular-season activities under the terms of his conditional reinstatement,” the statement read, per NFL.com.
While not fully out of the woods, Bryant still would need to ‘continue to attend mandatory counseling sessions,’ per the report.
“He looks like a stud, as usual,” Ben Roethlisberger said of Bryant in June, “so we’re excited for him to be on the field this year and help us out.”
