Rookie CB could get his ‘baptism by fire’ against Pats

The Pittsburgh Steelers have activated rookie cornerback Cameron Sutton, who sat the first half of the season on injured reserve, to the 53-man roster on Friday.

Sutton split reps on Friday with CB Joe Haden, who may make his return to the field on Sunday. He’s officially listed as questionable.

Should his opportunity arise vs. the mighty Patriots, Sutton says he’s ready for action, but doesn’t expect to by targeted if and when he hits the field (I wouldn’t be to sure of that.)

“I anticipate them following their game plan and throwing to guys and just playing their game, not just targeting me,” Sutton said, per Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “They’ll have their plays, their moments. You just have to be ready and locked in and make plays on the ball.”
